Hello all!!

Are we all ready for the spring’s renewal of our dreary days and cold winter nights?

Our  new session of art begins on April 4th with an explosion of color and new projects!

In this session, our primary focus will be on bursting colors and fantastic summer themes.

I welcome any and all new students and can’t wait to see my exceptional art kids in our last session before summer break!

Parents – please be sure to sign up quickly for this session as I have been full to capacity the last 3 sessions…and remember, I will work with you to place your child in the right class based upon artistic & creative experience and age.

Oooo..got to go, I am late for a very important date but I am peering though the looking glass awaiting your arrival!!

Welcome to our Fabulous Art Program!!
Hello to all my new students and welcome back to all my returning Young Artists!

Our Winter Session will begin on January 19th and run for 8 weeks through March. Not to worry about winter vacation parents! Our program always follows the calendar events of the Wrentham school system so – any days off from school are days off from Art. The schedule currently reflects the February vacation week.

Hello to my NEW and returning Students!!

So we are already into our second week of class and have so many new and talented kids!

We have so many fun projects this semester including mosaic, sgraffito, clay, batik, recycled art and lessons on symmetry and color. I can’t wait to see you each week and share our love of art together….so let’s get started, shall we???

Hi Kidz!!

What fun we had last week huh??

I want to thank my class Fiona, Gabriella, Lilly and Nicole for attending my first summer session and making me smile! 

You all did beautiful work and I hope you enjoyed all the different art projects and mediums that we used throughout the week.

Our lessons about the different artists helped us interpret paintings with a variety of brush strokes and painting techniques.  I am so proud of each and every one of you for the paintings you accomplished in such a short time.

Our Vincent van Gogh sunflowers were amazing!

Your watercolor, waterfalls and individual and free paints were also wonderful!

Gabriella  great job on this waterfall…and yes…she is 7 years old!! Fiona…this is an amazing tree…keep on sketching in your book like we practiced!

Lilly…your Monet is beautiful.  Remember Pounce, pounce, pounce!

So keep in touch over the summer…come and visit me and do something artistic every day!!

Hello everyone!

Can you believe we only have 1 class to go???

As we wind down our spring session I would like to thank you all for your participation and congratulate each of you on the beautiful artwork you produced!  We had a record 21 kids participate in the program and produced over 120 paintings over 8 weeks!  Pretty incredible huh?

Makeup class will be held Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 11:30am.  Please e-mail me and let me know you are going to attend so I have the proper supplies!

Also remember our Young Artist Exhibition is to be held Thursday evening June 11th from 6 to 7:30 pm. Please pick 2 pieces of your artwork to bring to the show and drop them off early if you can.  Looking forward to seeing all of you and Miss Karen will be baking the treats again….yippee!

Thanks so much for using this website to write me and let me know what you are doing over the summer!  Based upon many requests we will be offering 3 different summer sessions in July and August.

Each session is a week long  Monday thru Friday 9am to noon.  You can sign up for the sessions a week at a time or all 3 weeks if you would like!

The sessions will be held the following weeks:

July 6th – 10th, July 20th – 24th and August 3rd – 7th.

Click here for the registration form.  We need a minimum of 5 kids to hold each session so encourage your friends to join us for a week of fun.  Tuition is $200. plus a $50. material fee for the week.

Hi!

Halfway through our spring vacation and I miss you all!

Just wanted to remind everyone that there is no class this week and I will see you all back next week…hope you all have some great stories and pictures to show me from your vacation!

I have worked hard on cleaning the studio over the last week and have some great new paintings and projects for us as we head into spring.

You all are the best and always make Miss Rebecca smile when I think of everyone!

Hello to my new spring art students!

I was very proud of all of you this week as all of you were new to this class and you all did a great job – we had so much fun!

Tyler and Patrick, I am so happy to have boys in class this semester!  Julia & Hanna, I hope you had fun in your first class with me! 

You all did great texitle collages this week and I hope you enjoyed the project!

Our waterfall painting started out really well and next week we will complete it with the trees and landscape.  I hope you had as much fun as I did and you have a great holiday weekend.

Hello to my fabulous Tuesday Class!

I had so much fun meeting my spring class!  I am so happy to have new students Lily and  Fiona!!  We are sure you will have fun here with the rest of us….

Our fabric bag  textile project of turned out so well – Lily I loved your peace sign made of buttons!  

To the rest of the girls – the fashions using the felting techniques, hangers and sheer roses look fabulous.

Our Painting this week is whimsical and fun…I love that you each picked out your own color pallete and are expressing yourself though this work.  Next week we will finish it up with some glitter and airy brush strokes.  Have a great week and a fabulous holiday weekend!

Hello to all my young artists and families!

Thursday’s Art Show was in a word AMAZING!!

I am so proud of everyone and the artwork that each of you chose for the show.  I really think this session all of you produced some spectacular paintings and projects.  The textile, block prints and paper mixed media projects were also fabulous.

The different interpretations of the Georgia O’Keeffe poppy and our Iris were also amazing!

Thanks to all the Moms, Dads and other guests that made this night such a success!  Thanks also to Miss Karen for all the wonderful sweets and for helping us so much with class this session.

Remember to check out our art windows at the shop to see your work on display over the next few weeks….snap a picture for your scrapbook!

Can you all believe that our winter sessions are complete?  The classes went so fast and each of you made some absolutely amazing paintings and projects…now it is time to show off all your wonderful art work!

The Young Artist Exhibition will be held Thursday evening March 26th from 6 to 7:30 pm.  The show will be held at It’z All About Me! with access to the studio to show your family and friends your creative space.  Students are encouraged to bring 2 pieces of artwork to the show including at least 1 painting.  If you wish, you may drop the artwork off at the shoppe early so we can get it on display for all to see.

Miss Rebecca has heard that there is also an event at school so I am encouraging parents to treat this evening as an open house. You may arrive any time during the evening to discuss your artwork and meet your friends.  If you think you will be arriving later, please drop off the artwork early so all can see it!!

Again, we encourage you to bring your family and friends to this event…it is open to all.  We will be serving beverages and dessert at the show so bring your sweet tooth too!
